The dangers of driving without car insurance were highlighted in a recent study from Direct Line which revealed that 200 road users die each year in accidents involving uninsured motorists.
Uninsured drivers were also found to be ten times more likely than those with car insurance to have a conviction for drink driving and four times more likely to have a driving without due care and attention conviction.
